This is the only infant seat I used with my daughter. It was super easy to install in both vehicles. I really liked that there are multiple bases for multiple cars in a family. It really hooked into the base well too. I liked how you could hear the "click" to know it's in right. The straps were simple to use too and hardly became twisted or turned the wrong way. Easy to adjust too. The convenience of taking the seat inside when she was little was nice too, great for getting her put in it in the warmth of the house before heading outside.
For me, it was heavy and awkward to carry. I'm shorter with shorter arms and it was difficult for me to reach it in my seat (installed in the middle seat), undo it and haul it around. I was thankful when my daughter was big enough to leave the seat in the car and just take her inside places.
I have no alternatives, since this is the only infant seat we used.

I liked how easy it was to buckle my daughter in to this seat. It is very easy to loosen the straps, so I would make them very loose and put her in, then tighten them after she was in the seat. It made it easy to adjust them right to however many layers she was wearing.
I used it with the base in my car most of the time. I love how easy it is to get the base secure and tight with the LATCH system. I also used the base with the seat belt, and it takes a little longer to hook in, but is still very secure. We used this seat from the day my daughter was born until she was 10 months old and getting too tall for it. (and too heavy to carry in it!)
I took the seat apart and washed it many times, it is easy to do, just make sure you follow the instructions so you get it back together right so it works properly.
My daughter liked riding in this seat and fell asleep pretty much every time we were in the car for longer than 1/2 and hour, so I would guess it is comfortable for baby.
I love that the seat hooks into the base and the stroller, it is so nice to not have to move your sleeping baby around so much.
The infant head support thing did not work well for my daughter at all, but I don't think many of them really do.
The seat gets pretty heavy to carry as the baby gets older, once she could sit up, I left the seat in the car and let her sit in the cart or stroller while we were shopping.
It is a little more frustrating to move from car to car without the base if you have to use the seatbelt clip it comes with. It isn't hard, just takes a while to get the clip on in the right place and make sure everything is adjusted right. Once you have some practice it's better though.
We bought a Head support separately and used that to keep her neck straight while sleeping. It didn't cost much and was well worth the money. It was a Kiddopotomos cradler from Toys R Us.
I loved this car seat and would definitely recommend it!

I haven't used any other carseat to be able to make a fair comparison, but we love this one! It's super easy to get in and out of the car, and I love that it even snaps on to shopping carts so there's no fear or baby hurling herself to the floor as she squirms around! The straps are easy to get baby in and out of, and adjust easily (once you know how - Daddy still has some trouble since he refused to read the manual). The handle has 5 positions, though we've only ever used 3 - carry (all the way up), sit (all the way down), and half way, just when carting the seat around empty. Extra bases are available, which is great if you have more than one car! We only have the one base, but when we do end up in another car, the base is nice and easy to install. It's also possible to use the carseat without the base, which is a great feature!
It's a bit heavy, though I'm not sure how to get around that! I find carrying it in the crook of my arm rather than just in my hand makes the weight a little more bearable.Only good to 22 pounds - good for now, but I'm crossing my fingers that our little chunker makes it to a year before surpassing that! The Snugride 32 was a bit more expensive, but may be worth it with a bigger baby, since it's good to 32 pounds.

We have the Lively Dots pattern, which I think is really cute and gender-neutral. The carseat isn't as heavy as the Chicco my friends all seem to have (and the pattern is definitely more unique!) I like the tightening feature being on the back of the seat, and the five-point harness works great and is so easy. I trust the brand and feel safe having my sweet newborn in this seat! The base makes it so easy to use (we bought an extra, too, to have one in each car!)
The fabric is hot -- but then, every other carseat seems to have that problem!

Good seat...DD was comfy, easy to install, DD was on the small side so she used it till she was 11 months old. The cover came off easily to wash.
The straps are a bit of a pain to adjust. The seat can be a little heavy, but I didnt really mind it.

I really like this car seat. It's the only infant car seat I've owned so I don't have anything to compare it to but I like it. It's very easy to install and as long as you have the hooks in your car it's easy to move the base from one car to another. It also clicks in very easily to the base and makes a loud sound so you know it's in correctly. I also like that it has a head support that you can remove once your baby can hold it's head upright. I also like how loose it can get. My lil one hates getting buckled up so it's nice to start with it very loose to buckle him in and then tighten it later.
It's a bit heavy, again I can't compare to other brands but by 4 months I had to use two hands to carry it around with my son in it.

The regular snugride (up to 22 pounds) fits well in our small car. We are still able to put the seats back with this in the middle back. I love that the sun shade can move all the way to the front or back. This is a big plus when the sun is directly behind the car and your poor LO is facing right into the sun. This also snaps into it's base much easier than a different brand we had and is much lighter than the other mid-price brand we previously owned.
The model we have doesn't have the adjustment strap in the middle front, so it's difficult to loosen and tighten straps. The handle can also be a bit uncomfortable to hold. The headrest is a bit wide for my son's little head, so we have to put a blanket next to him too to keep his head from flopping.

Great carseat. Used for both of my children and still in excellent condition following. Liked the design (we had the Metropolitan). Durable construction. Comes with head support and foot cover. Easy to install. Compatible with various strollers, thus bucket seat can come right out of the car and onto the stroller - this is ++ convenient, especially with more than one child.
I didn't see any particularly bad features. Perhaps one negative is the material might cause some overheating in extremely warm climates.

This is a very simple and easy car seat. It latches on to its base with a click so you can know for sure that your baby is locked in. You are also able to purchase additional bases for multiple cars! Many Different designs made with different materials. The straps are easy to adjust also. I bought this particular one because it was compatible with my bugaboo stroller.
It's supposed to be light but I feel it's a bit heavy. I was expecting a lot lighter when I purchased it. I stopped carrying my daughter in it and instead just took her out and left the carseat in the car.

Great Car Seat! Great Price. I love this car seat so easy to take in and out of the car and if the baby is sleeping just pop it right out!
I wish the handle was contoured to make it easier to hold its a little hard to hold.

Have used these with each one of my kids. Cute designs, easy to use, love being able to take just the carrier into stores or wherever when baby is asleep. Always felt the kids were very secure in this seat.
Can get heavy and awkward when carrying around.

Easy to install, Cute pattern, & always felt DS was safe
DS was at the max for height but still had 8 pounds to go before he outgrew it weight wise for the original one. The fabric I had didn't seem to breath well & DS was usually extremely sweaty whenever I got him out.

Love the ability to take baby around without taking him out of the carseat itself, several pattern options available, easy to use.
It is hard to get baby's arms in the straps while having it at the recommended two-finger-width tightness without loosening and tightening the straps everytime baby went in and out.

I'm very happy with this car seat. It's very easy to adjust the straps and it only takes a minute to change the strap height. It's a light weight car seat compared to other brands (peg perego and Chicco). Snaps easily in and out of the car seat base.
None
I wish I had gotten the Graco Safeseat 32 so my baby wouldn't out grow it so quickly.

Great car seat. It is very safe, and easy to get in and out of the car. The straps adjust easily and are easy to snap. Also, the entire cover can be removed and machine washed, which I found to be very useful with my second child.

I loved this car seat, and so did my daughter who slept soundly whenever she was in it! The base was easily moved from one car to the next, and very easy to adjust once baby is placed inside.
It is a little heavy which made it hard for me when my husband wasn't around to carry it!

I used this seat with my first daughter and should have used it with my second. It is super easy to install and has excellent safety ratings. It comes out of the base no problem, and it stands up to multiple children (I bought mine used). It is also easy to get the cover on and off to wash it.
The weight limit isnt as high as some other choices.

Inexpensive, lightweight (as carseats go), can strap into car directly without base (I think all Graco's can), I don't worry about it going under the plane when I fly because if it gets destroyed, I'll have an even better reason to buy a different seat.
I'll start at the end: my son is now 4 months old and we are buying a new carseat because every time I use this one I dislike it more and more.

The biggest thing that annoys me about this seat every time I use it is that there is NO EASY ADJUST strap to change how tight the seatbelt fits. Instead, you need to go to the back of the seat and adjust both straps separately with a very awkward, time consuming buckle. SOME OTHER REVIEWS CITE HOW EASY THESE ARE TO ADJUST - THEY DO NOT REFER TO THE SNUGRIDE INFANT CAR SEAT, BUT RATHER TO THE SNUGRIDE 32 and 35 WHICH DO HAVE THAT FEATURE.

Other things that are less-than-desirable about this seat: the padding is poor, which was easily remedied with an insert, the handle feels cheap and is not comfortable to hold, the hood does not stay put, and it is really difficult to clean the straps if baby happens to puke in the seat.
Graco Snugride 35 or any other seat that allows you to adjust the straps with an easy pull. Go to a physical store and check it out to see what I mean. I WISH someone had pointed out that feature and how important it is when I was buying a seat!

Safety and security wise, I loved this car seat. I always felt my kids were secure, and it buckled easily.
The handle kills my back! My son was a heavy child, and the way the handle is on this completely misaligned my back. I find the handles that run parallel to your body when holding it on the side are much more comfortable than the Graco that runs perpendicular (hope that makes sense!).

Lightweight, easy to use, easy to remove pads for washing, high crash test rating, affordable, universal with many strollers and stroller frames
We had the original, not the 32 or 35, and my son hit the height limit before hitting the weight limit.

Good quality, easy to clean, easy to install, gets very high safety ratings, affordable. I had the black and red Lotus pattern and got a lot of compliments. I actually dropped my son in the seat when he was only two months old from a height of 3 feet (by accident, of course) and he was perfectly fine. Our pediatrician said that could have been quite damaging to him had he not been strapped into this seat!
Heavy and a little awkward as a carrier.

We bought in Pippin. The carseat snaps in great with the base. It also works well without a base. The 5 point harness is secure and feels safe.
The plastic handle/bar squeaks when we pinch the red release tabs in. This is bad when baby is sleeping inside. It's also getting harder to hold due to weight. Our baby is 15 lbs. I can't imagine what it'll feel like at 25 lbs.

Super easy to install and can be used with many different strollers. HAve the Snugride 32 and DD is still in it at 11 months so it has definitely been worth the money.
Can be difficult to tighten the straps when it's attached to the base and difficult move the height of the straps as the baby grows.

We used this car seat for the first 11 months of my daughter's life in 2010. The print is really cute and girly. It was easy to install and get the car seat in and out of the base on a daily basis. It felt very secure and snug in the car using the LATCH system.
I did find it a bit bulky and heavy, but most infant car seats are.
I would recommend Graco use a material that is cooler for the summers.

Easy to buckle and adjust straps! Easy to click in and out of the car. Easy to put in and out of the correlating stroller.
The handle, being completely horizontal, with no padding, does make it a little difficult to hold.

This seat is amazing. We used the older version with my son and now have a new one for my daughter. It is the lightest carrier that I have been able to find. Super easy to install and transfer.
Fabric doesn't breathe incredibly well in the heat.

It does the job and is not as pricy as some of the others. It is definitely not as heavy as some of them I have seen and tried.
It's not as stylish as an orbit or something like that.
