Vulli Sophie The Giraffe Teether | Vulli Sophie The Giraffe Teether 4.6 out of 5 based on 159 user reviews.

| | Review by Facebook User on Jan. 04, 2011 | | Sophie is any babies best friend! She is made of natural latex and dyed with natural food coloring. She is easy to wash off and is easy for baby to hold. Every part of Sophie is great to teethe on!! Her hooves are a favorite of my daughter. Sophie never gets old either. Lots of toys that my baby loved at first but then grew out of. This one has been a favorite since 3 months and now she is 9 months and still loves this.
Squeaker makes Sophie adorable especially once your child starts crawling and holds Sophie in her hand because she loves her soooo much she won't put her down. You always know where the baby is crawling with Sophie cause you hear, "Squeak, Squeak, Squeak." |
| Squeakier may draw the attention of not just your baby, but also your doggies, if you have them (and I have two). So keep it off the floor when not in use if you have dogs. 20 bucks would be the most expensive dog toy my dogs ever got if they sunk their teeth into Sophie.
20 dollars is a bit pricey but trust all of us mommies it is well worth it!! |
| No comparison just buck up the 20 dollars already =0) |

Cred: 2573 | | My 9 month old has really enjoyed this toy over the past three or so months. He doesn't have any teeth, so I can't speak to how great this is for teething, and it may have a role in why he doesn't LOVE this quite yet, but it is a wonderful grasping toy. It is very easy for him to hold onto Sophie's face, neck and legs. He loves waving her around and, even though he doesn't have teeth yet, chewing on her. A great, simple and fun toy, but not a must-have, in my opinion. |
| Your dog will LOVE this toy. We're very careful about only letting our baby play with it when we're around and watching to avoid any possible "hey, I want that!" moments from our dog. |

Cred: 330 | | Review by GG1108 on Jan. 04, 2011 | | Sophie will be your baby's new best friend! She soothes sore teething gums, makes fun squeaks when chewed or squeezed, and her long neck makes her the perfect fit for tiny hands.
For my 4 month old, Gabriel, it was love at first sight. Sophie travels everywhere with us now. Even his big sister runs to get Sophie for Gabe if he starts getting fussy.
I don't think Gabriel will be sharing his anytime soon, but fortunately there are plenty of Sophies to go around! And because she's all natural, slight variations in the coloring will make each baby's giraffe unique! |
| All of your baby's other toys will be jealous.
But seriously, the only con is the cost. There are good deals out there though and it's worth it! |
| Vulli also makes 'Chan Pie Gnon' teethers which are mushroom shaped. | Ideal Age: 3-6 months

Cred: 194 | | I was on the fence about this toy because my first baby did not like any sort of teether. However, after hearing sooo many good things about it I decided to buy it before baby #2 was even born. Wow am I happy I did! Starting from about 2 months old he has LOVED it! He was a super early teether, and Sohpie very quickly became a favourite in our home. If we could only have one toy, this would for sure be the one we'd choose for him (and that I'm sure he'd choose too!) |
| It's expensive (I paid $20) for a teether toy, but worth it. |
 Cred: 1740 | | LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! And it's NATURAL too ;)
I bought this thinking I'd rather one single (expensive) teether toy than one hundred cheapo-chemical teethers. I wasn't disapointed.
FIVE stars all the way! |

| | Review by Facebook User on Nov. 15, 2010 | | my son has loved sophie since we gave it to him around 2 months old. it's so easy for little hands to hold and lots of different textures and parts to fit in their mouth. I love that its all natural too and super cute! |
Cred: 1480 | | Definitely a favorite. Sophie had to come everywhere with us. Friends of ours would purchase mulitple Sophies just for back up. This toy is very soft rubber and squeaks when squeazed. Its easy enough for babies to squeaze and chew on |
| Im not a big fan of the smell of Sophie, but I would definitely tolerate the smell to calm my baby down. |
Cred: 725 | | Very cute. I really enjoyed her saying Sophie. I wanted her to love it. I wanted it to help with teething too I guess. |
| I had heard so many great reviews of Sophie.. everyone loves it. The only thing my daughter likes is the annoying squeak. She likes to step on it. |
Cred: 822 | | Must have baby toy! My daughter loves the squeaker and loves to chew on this all over. The rubber material is easy for her to grasp. She also loves the squeaky sound of her gums on the rubber--she gets a kick out of that. |
| A bit large for smaller babies. My daughter started teething at two months and it was difficult for her to manage then. She would chew on the ears if we supported it for her. But now that she's five months, she is a pro! |
Cred: 1298 | | I thought it was crazy to pay $20 for what looked like a dog toy - but we did receive this as a gift and DD LOVES IT!! Soothing for her new teeth coming in now and very durable. |
| Sophie has mushroom friends that DD loves too! |
Cred: 699 | | Review by lakimu on Nov. 16, 2010 | | Oh Sophie. You are perfect in every way. Easy to hold, fantastic to chew on, and provider of hours of amusement and entertainment. Recommend one for every baby! |
| I don't think it's entirely necessary to charge what they do for a squeak toy but alas, I'd pay it again because of how much my child enjoyed it. |
Cred: 858 | | Adorable toy, and safe for little one! I loved that it was made with all natural rubber and food paint. We get so many compliments on how cute it is. |
| The squeaker fell into the one I purchased, and stopped working. It is nice that they make it so that if it detaches it goes INTO the toy so that it doesn't pose a potential choking risk. I emailed their customer service and they were very pleasant, and mailed me a replacement. |
Cred: 770 | | Review by Lori P on Nov. 17, 2010 | | BEST teether ever!! it's all natural and washes easily. it's the perfect shape for little fingers to grasp and was always a number one choice in our house. our Sophie's spots have pretty much been chewed off and my daughter still loves to play with her. Sophie got us through many waiting rooms and road trips! |
| the cost, but it is worth every penny. |
Cred: 476 | | My daughter loved playing and chewing this. Lots of different chewing areas. Very small and easy to bring in your diaper bad. |
| expensive! When I washed it the noise no longer worked. I found it had a strange smell when first bought and it took a long time for the smell to go |
Cred: 611 | | Tried every teether out there, was not sure about trying Sophie, due to cost, but manage to get it for $10, so I bought it. My daughter also name Sophie loves it and it worked out well for teething. |
| Don't like the rubber smell! |
Cred: 1711 | | Review by Debe G on Nov. 21, 2010 | | Sorry Sophie, I'm giving you only 3 stars. Everyone raves about how great it is, and I was really hoping it was true, but my son could just take it or leave it. Never showed any real interest. He liked to squeak her but even that lasted only a couple days. Bummer too since she's pretty pricey. Great concept though. My son must just be an odd ball. |
Cred: 474 | | Review by Lyndal on Nov. 24, 2010 | | My older son wasn't a big fan of Sophie, but I packed it away when he was done with it and now my younger son uses her. And he loves her! It's the only teething toy he can consistently pick up, hold onto, and get into his mouth.
The legs are small enough to fit in his mouth, and the head has nice knobbly things to sooth his gums. |
Cred: 444 | | My daughter loves to hold on to this and jams it in her mouth when she gets angry (so cute BTW). She had a hard time at first trying to pick a spot to put in her mouth and would nibble on the ear. |
| Expensive. Also the squeak is a lot like a dog toy so the dog would always come running when she squeaked it thinking it was something for him. |
Cred: 1079 | | I have to say that I was a bit skeptical about Sophie the Giraffe and couldn't imagine spending close to $20 on what I thought was simply a teether. But lucky for me, we received Sophie as a gift and I was proven wrong. My 5 month old LOVES Sophie. . .from just holding it to chewing on it and she absolutely loves when it makes the squeeky noise. |
| The price may be a drawback, but when it's the only teether toy your child will want - it's definitely worth it in the end! |
Cred: 466 | | I have to be honest, I didn't get all the hype & I was pretty skeptical about this teether. I bought it anyways & am happy I did! Such a great teething toy. Our baby loves to chew on Sophie's feet and ears. The squeaker is a great attention getter when she is fussing. Lightweight and easy for baby to hold. Highly recommend! |
| A tad pricy. But totally worth it! |
Cred: 671 | | Good and safe for baby to use while teething. Very cute. |
| It tends to pick up anything on the floor (because it's made out of rubber), so every time my baby dropped it, I'd have to clean it. I finally decided to get a tether, so he couldn't drop it anymore. Whenever I wanted to take this somewhere, I'd have to put it in a plastic bag. |
Cred: 3731 | | I don't remember where I saw Sophie for the first time but I knew we had to have her!!! My son loved chewing on her hoof! She is a great friend for all babies! Love the old fashion look of her and she's the perfect size, shape, material. |
| Didn't like that water would get in there when washed. Felt like it could get moldy in there. |
Cred: 608 | | I had no idea how popular this toy was until I received it as a gift. Now I understand! My DD loves to chew the hooves and ears. Sophie stands up great chewing, twisting, pulling and squishing. Very easy to clean. |
| Kind of expensive for a glorified dog toy. Not something I would have purchased for myself (because of cost), but makes a great baby shower gift! |
Cred: 1975 | | Review by CoriK on Feb. 19, 2011 | | I have heard so much about Sophie and I love giraffes and my son was teething so I thought we could try it out. Well, I think my son is a bit too old for this.. he wasn't too interested in it, but he thought the squeak was hilarious and I have caught my dog eyeballing it :S! I think this would be a great teether for a younger baby! | Ideal Age: 3-6 months
Cred: 1706 | | Sophie is my baby boy's favorite teether. If we leave the house Sophie ALWAYS comes with us. He loves that she squeaks, and he loves to shove her legs into his mouth. |
| My dog thinks it's her toy because of the squeaker! And it's pretty pricey. |
Cred: 708 | | My daughter loves this! Its the first teether that I have given her that she just instantly put it in her mouth! I also love that it is fairly easy to squeak because she loves when sophie squeaks and always squeels back at him! |
| The price sucks and it smells like rubber but definately worth her happiness! |
Cred: 1279 | | My son loves his "squeaky giraffe". He loves to chew, suck and squeak her. The rubber is soft and she is the perfect size for small hands. |
| My dog also loves "squeaky giraffe". Which makes for an expensive dog chew toy. |
Cred: 8507 | | My daughter liked to make Sophie squeak more than she liked to chew on her. Maybe I gave it to her a little late in the game (around 12 months). But, it didn't stop me from buying another one for our second daughter. I'll give it to her a little sooner though to see if she will actually use it for teething. |
Cred: 414 | | Both of my girls have used Sophie and she's been worth every penny (even if she is a LITLLE much for a teether). They both love(d) chewing on her while teething and even just to play with her when they aren't teething anymore. She was definitely their favourite! | Ideal Age: 6-12 months

Cred: 660 | | DD loves it, it never gets old for her. At first it was just a chew toy, now she likes to make it squeek. |
| I don't care for the rubber scent. But apparently that is one of the selling features (?) "distinct scent".
Also expensive. But I'm glad we have it. |
Cred: 1844 | | Super easy for my little guy to hang on to, and play with. He's been able to grab and hold her since I got her for him at 4 months. |
| The squeaking drives me up the wall, lol, if I had known she squeaked I might not have purchased her. Everyone has one, so I try not to bring her out in public/to playdates so that they don't get mixed up together. |
Cred: 890 | | Awesome teether and toy. The ears, nose, and legs reach all the right spots when those teeth are coming in. Easy to hold with little hands. Gave it to our daughter at 3 months old. (She has never gagged on it or had problems with it.) Even at 15 months she still likes to chew and squeak Sophie. |
Cred: 411 | | Review by embee on Apr. 25, 2011 | | One of my daughter's favourite teething toys. Easy for little hands to grasp and manipulate. I like that it's made of natural rubber and has food-grade ink for the colourings. |
| Our Sophie doesn't squeak much (but that might be a blessing!!) |
Cred: 1197 | | Expensive - especially when your baby doesn't take to it like mine. Waiting to hand it down to #2.
Everyone has it so harder to keep track of yours at playgroups. |
| One of Sophie's "friends". We also have the mushroom |
Cred: 1093 | | My daughter loves Sophie - and so do I! It's one of the few teethers I feel good about giving to her.
It's perfect for little hands and made from natural rubber and paint, where can you go wrong? |
| It's a bit pricey, but worth it! Sometimes Babies R Us will have it on sale, usually around Christmas time. |

Cred: 551 | | A great toy! My son loved it when he first started picking toys up, but now that he's 10 months he isn't so crazy about it! |
| It is expensive for a teething toy however this is something you can pass down from child to child.
His paint spots wear off over time which I hear is completely normal since it's a natural base paint, he is still cute though! | Ideal Age: 3-6 months
Cred: 185 | | Looking at pictures from my daughters first toy reminds me of how much Sophie was, and still is, loved. She is in almost all of the pictures! We never had any issues with Sophie's legs causing a choking hazard. We didn't find any toy like Sophie. |
| Don't try to take Sophie someplace that is supposed to be quiet. She squeaks. |
Cred: 420 | | I was super skeptical of this at first. I did not understand what was so special about this toy or why on earth it is so expensive. My DD loves it though and so do all my friends babies (it is almost always the first thing they go for when they are over to for a play date). |
| This is way too pricey for a toy/teether. Most stores retail it for $20-$25. I know amazon sometimes has it for a little less. Luckily mine was a gift! |
Cred: 461 | | Review by Kenzie on Aug. 02, 2011 | | Sophie definitely lives up to the hype. She was the only teether my son took to, and was also the first toy he ever held. When my son was born I complained that we didn't have a Sophie... and now we have 3!
Sophie stopped squeaking once, so she went through the wash and after drying out she was good as new! |
| Price... but we received all of ours as gifts :)
Had to hide it from the dog. |

Cred: 521 | | This is great toy for infants, and makes an excellent shower gift. The natural rubber and dyes makes it safe for babies to chew on it. |
| Don't put it under running water because water will get inside. Wash it with a damp or soapy cloth instead. | Ideal Age: 3-6 months
Cred: 3666 | | It is cute, very soft, easy for baby to hold. A soft squeak. |
| Very expensive. I really don't understand what the big deal is about this. My son didn't think it was any different than any other toy. |
| There are these soft rubber rings (by green Sprout or something like that) that are about $5-6 at Whole Foods. Way better and way cheaper |

Cred: 988 | | You have to have Sophie! She's a classic! There is just something about her, my son loved to chew on her long limbs - I think its because they are easy to get to his back teeth. |
| Since you can't tie her easily to anything, she can be easy to lose! | Ideal Age: 6-12 months

Cred: 23 | | LOVE LOVE LOVE Sophie. She is so tough and so easy for my DS to grab and chew. When he started drooling at 4 months I wanted something he could gum but every other chew toy would fall so easily. Sophie's long neck and legs make it easy for a baby who can't consciously grab the toy, to still be able to keep ahold of her.
Oh and she is VERY tough - my standard poodle got her and when I saw that I thought for sure she was a goner - nope! Not a scratch. I just scrubbed and disinfected her and she was good as new. |
| Wish she was cheaper...I find myself freaking out a bit if we take her in public because I'm afraid of losing her. |
Cred: 477 | | Best teether EVER. I love this because it was the first toy my daughter could hold on to well. She smiles every time she sees it. I think every baby should have a Sophie. | Ideal Age: 6-12 months

Cred: 246 | | Review by _EmJ_ on Nov. 11, 2010 | | Definitely the best teether around. Because of her shape, she is one of the only teething toys that can reach back to the molars. Some days, my DD never puts her down. Luckily, she is also easy to clean and is small enough to take anywhere! |
Cred: 390 | | Very durable. Very cute. Very soothing. My son loves Sophie and the older kids wait for him to be done chewing on her so they can play with Sophie. |
| Smells like rubber (since it is), so it will make your little one smells like rubber after a good gnawing session. However, since the gnawing makes baby happy, I'll deal with the smell. |
Cred: 300 | | My daughter loves her Sophie! We received this as a gift, and at first I thought all the hype was ridiculous. For awhile, my daughter could care less about this toy. When she was around 5 or 6 months, she all of a sudden could not get enough of it. |
Cred: 392 | | long neck & legs are easier for babies to grab onto than her "mushroom head" friend.
Easy to wash.
My son loved his Sophie. |
| Squeaks like a dog toy - got my dog excited & made me worried Sophie would get chewed by the wrong family member! |
| Mushroom man - for older babies. We started with him but had to switch to Sophie because he was too hard for my son to get a hold of. |
Cred: 249 | | We also LOVE LOVE this! It is my go to gift for new mamas!! Great for teething! First toy my DD could grasp on her own and continues to use it through teething. |
| Dogs do think that this belongs to them :) |
Cred: 246 | | My son LOVES this toy! He was fascinated by the spots at first, then he moved on to chewing on it, and now he grabs it, brings it to his mouth and chews with relish! :) I love it because it's safe, has interesting textures and colors, and is a great developmental toy. |
Cred: 9 | | Absolutely love. Must have for all babies :) And you get your money's worth, this is the longest standing toy so far |
| There is no alternative to Sophie...unless you're talking about my cell phone to chew on. | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 257 | | Review by JennB on Dec. 29, 2010 | | This is by far my all time favorite teether! Cute, natural, and just the right size for my little ones to hold on to and chew away! Definitely buy a back up. We have several. Price is reasonable for the quality of the product. $20 for a nice teether or $5 here and there for cheaper ones. |
 Cred: 248 | | Cute.
Useful as a teether. Easy to hold. Easy to clean.
Loved this (or rather my son did). Wish we had one for my daughter when she was an infant. Did not initially purchase it due to the cost, but got one as a gift with the second baby. Great Gift!! |
| Expensive, for what it is. But some might say it is worth it.
Hesitated to bring it with me out of the house, as did not want to have to replace it. |
Cred: 153 | | Super cute and seems like a baby should love the long neck and legs to hold onto, but my baby girl just never really had any interest in Sophie. |
| I wouldn't say it has any bad features, just don't expect your baby to love it. It seems most do, but mine didn't. |
| My baby girl on the other hand is in LOVE with her Razberry teether! |
Cred: 392 | | Review by kozy3 on Mar. 15, 2011 | | I received this at my baby shower and immediately loved the retro look of it. It is the first toy that my son has been able to hold on his own and so far he loves it (at 15 weeks). |
| The price is a little steep for a teether, though it has been well worth the money. If it were a bit cheaper I'd buy a back up. |

Cred: 233 | | Review by Marisa on Mar. 16, 2011 | | My LO loved, loved, loved it. She would lay there for hours gnawing on it and drooling like there was no tomorrow. It was the best teething toy that she had. I did make a leash for Sophie out of some Elastic Ribbon and velcro so we didn't loose her when we were in public. | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 381 | | Got this for easter toy for my 10 month old. he loves it! ididnt know that it makes noise like a dog toy but oh well! i paid full price on amazon for it and still feel like its worth it , if it helps my sons gums feel better! | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 174 | | Cute little toy, easily for babies to hold and the rubber is very soft. Ideal for teething but my daughter isn't crazy about it at all! Makes me wonder what all the hype is all about. |
| The squeaker. I had to battle my dogs from trying to chew and play with it. It sounded like all their other toys. |
Cred: 224 | | The "Must have" purchase for all new moms. Great for 4 months+.
Pliable- I've seen LO shoving 1/2 of it into her mouth when her teeth were bugging her.
Non toxic paint makes Mom worry less. |
| Rubber smell which may not bug some but bugs me a little. |
Cred: 231 | | Review by alys36 on Jul. 21, 2011 | | My dd received Sophie when she was 4 months...she giggled, slobbered & held her tightly immediately! She loved her very much until the throwing stage & Sophie is now safely stored! Sophie is magical :) |
| Price is a little high...but worth every penny! | Ideal Age: 3-6 months
Cred: 270 | | Worth every penny! DD is 15 months and still loves her Sophie!
I didn't know she squeaked, but I accidentally did when I took her out of the package. My dog came running looking for her new toy, only to be disappointed! |
Cred: 213 | | Review by pamela on Aug. 13, 2011 | | I was a bit on the fence about this product as it is quite expensive but I finally decided to buy it as tons of people kept telling me it was a must have. My son loves this toy. It soothes his gums and he loves chewing on it. Its easy to hold and he loves the squeker. Its a must have. |
Its expensive, but worth it!! |
Cred: 216 | | I was skeptical about spending so much for a teether but am so glad I went for it! This is the only teether my daughter could hold on to at 3 mos. bc of it's design. At 6 mos, she still gets excited when she sees her Sophie! She loves her!the texture of this teether is like no other teether I have found. |
Cred: 42 | | Review by ardib on Nov. 16, 2011 | | We love Sophie the giraffe. Such a classic toy made of natural rubber that soothes a teething baby or entertains a toddler. I have purchased 3 of these - one was lost, one was a replacement and one is a backup! |
| Sometimes the "squeak" could sound like a pet toy. | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 636 | | Sophie is one of our very favorite toys. My son loves to chew her legs- it has been a teething lifesaver! She is cute, small, and a frequent companion for car trips! |
Cred: 2351 | | Review by Dunia on Nov. 11, 2010 | | A favourite in our house. Little hands can hold Sophie perfectly and her head and legs are the perfect size for little mouth to chew on. |
Cred: 1247 | | a favorite from the day we got it! When he was a baby he loved to chew on it, now he loves to squeeze it, step on it and throw it! :o) |
Cred: 2518 | | My daughter never really chewed on it, but it was nice to have when she did. The legs were the perfect size for getting into those small areas. |
Cred: 914 | | Okay toy - I don't think it's a great as the hype makes it seem though. Easy to hold at a young age. |
| Expensive, my son never loved it. |
Cred: 563 | | sopfie is suuper cute, love the squeek- we got her as a gift from grandma--- |
| waay to expensive i think for a chew toy... but if you can get someone else to buy totally go for it :) |
Cred: 1605 | | Review by JessK on Nov. 15, 2010 | | Great for when your little one is teething! |
| Expensive, but if you buy it on Amazon it's much cheaper! |

Cred: 1348 | | My son must be the odd one out, but he never cared for Sophie. After months and months of being out and after many, many washings, she still has a very strong rubber smell. It's cute and the rubber is soft and it squeaks, but I don't think it's worth the cost! |
| Strong persistent rubber smell. EXPENSIVE. |
Cred: 3009 | | Once my son got the hang of this teether it has been a favorite. I would def buy this glorified dog toy (as some would say) for my kid any day! |

| | Review by Facebook User on Nov. 15, 2010 | | My 5 month old LOVES chewing on Sophie! |
| He really didn't like it until he was about 4 months old, before that he didn't care for it too much. |
Cred: 1021 | | A favorite in our house, easy to hold, and easy to clean when covered in drool :) |
| My dogs think that because it squeaks, it's for them! |

Cred: 408 | | Favourite toy of both of our girls! |
| Only downside is when they get older and like to squeak it repeatedly |
Cred: 413 | | Review by Deens on Nov. 17, 2010 | | LOVE THIS ONE! Baby chewed on it, and I wasn't worried about him sucking up chemicals. |
| Doesn't come with a leash! |
Cred: 1493 | | My daughter loves Sophie. Sophie is easy for tiny hads to hold onto and my baby loves to chew her head. Great toy for the car seat. Easy to wash. |
| The paint wears off with use. |
 Cred: 1126 | | My baby's favorite!
Natural and easy to grasp with tiny hands. great teether and keeps her entertained in the car seat / stroller. |
| Washed it too many times and the squeaker doesn't work well. |
Cred: 29 | | Soft, chewable, pliable, sturdy and cheerful looking! Very washable. |
| A bit big for my baby's mouth to get around any parts that he wanted to chew. |
| my guy preferred the smaller vanilla Sophie. We had it in a nice yellow.

Cred: 14 | | Love that it natural and soft. Cute looking also |
| Not a fan of the smell and the sound that it make when it's chewed on almost like nails on a chalkboard.
It was hard for my child to use a a teether-the head to big to find mouth so she would chew on a foot. |
Cred: 521 | | My girls love their Sophies and I'm happy to have them chew on her as much as they want. |
| It's price makes me leary of taking it out of the house. It's too expensive to replace for twins! |

| | Review by Facebook User on Nov. 30, 2010 | | This giraffe is so sweet and cute! Its soft body is easy for tiny gums to make it squeak. Definitely worth the money! |
Cred: 1213 | | DS never really went for it. We had 2 and I boiled one because I didn't read the box and the squeaker stopped working. |
Cred: 1313 | | My son loved Sophie the Giraffe. It was easy for him to hold and soft to touch. He could put the little feet and ears in his mouth. The best teething toy we got. |
Cred: 17 | | The size is perfect for little infant hands, this is my sons bed time toy. He little hands grip on to the leg and he waves it around and chews on it until he falls asleep. I wouldn't say it's his favorite toy but it is a high quality durable toy. My toddler loves it as well |
| squeaker is in an awkward place and sometimes doesn't squeak | Ideal Age: 3-6 months
Cred: 935 | | Best part of Sophie is that she is easy to hang on to. We have purchased a leash for Sophie so she is perfect for strollers, carseats, and restaurants. |
Cred: 26 | | This is by far one of our favorites. We never leave home without it. Baby loves to chew on it, especially the head and feet! It is easy for her to grasp and maneuver on her own. |
| Squeaking gets the dogs attention. |
Cred: 803 | | WE LOVE Sophie!!! She is very easy for even small babies to hold, and her feet are great to chew on. Great teether |
Cred: 8471 | | We LOVE Sophie at our house! First toy DS showed interest in. Don't know what we would do without it! Now, DS loves anything giraffe, and it's all thanks to Sophie! |

Cred: 30 | | Best teether ever! My son can not live without his sophie! It's easy to grab and hold onto. So many different parts to put in his mouth. |
| The only thing that could be bad is if you lose it!! I'm thinking of getting a sophie leash that I've seen around! |

Cred: 537 | | Review by gillac on Feb. 24, 2011 | | Love everything about Sophie. She has made teething tolerable in our house. We never leave home without her. |
Cred: 8818 | | Love our sophie the giraffe!! Its great for little fingers! |
| When it squeaks our dog thinks its his toy! |
Cred: 21 | | Sophie is very soft and cute to boot! Easy shape for even smaller babies to grab and hold on to. |
| The only complaint I have is she has that funky rubber smell. It is fading on ours and it may just be me, but I hate that smell. She is also a tad on the spendy side but pretty worth it IMO. | Ideal Age: 3-6 months
Cred: 780 | | My Son loves Sophie it was the best money I have ever spent! He loves to chew grab and play with this toy! Its great and I bring it everywhere we go! | Ideal Age: 3-6 months

Cred: 1139 | | This is one of my DD's favorite toys for on the go. She doesn't necessarily chew on it all the time, but she loves to make Sophie squeak! |

Cred: 588 | | Easy to grab onto.
Easy to store in diaper bag.
Easy to clean.
Cute.
Squeeky.
Baby's best friend. |
| Seems expensive but worth it. |
Cred: 11 | | Hard to add any other benefits, so I'll just say that my DS LOVES Sophie! She's a MUST when we travel and now that he's closer to teething, I'm considering getting a backup. |
| She's pricey but worth every penny! |
Cred: 660 | | Wish I would of bought sooner! My daughter absolutely loves her even now at 18 months old. She was soothing to my daughter. |
| Dogs attracted to the loud squeak! |
Cred: 2552 | | I finally broke down and got Sophie for my daughter.. I am so glad I did.. She loves chewing on her.... |
Cred: 473 | | We love our Sophie, it does seem like a dog toy, it squeaks. I wasn't sure what the hype was, but my twins love it at times! |
| Our sophie has marks on it that doesn't clean off. Not a big deal though. |
Cred: 426 | | Review by Klove on May. 13, 2011 | | My daughter loves it. It's also cute, light to carry around, and easy to clean. |
| Price- $18 for a teether? BUT it is totally worth it when your child uses it every day for months. |
Cred: 923 | | Worth every penny, couldn't live without Sophie. My son used it from 4-8 months. |
| Wouldn't use it as a teether as he got older. | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 14 | | My baby loves loves loves this! So much to chew on and he laughs whenever he gets it to squeak. Luckily my dog doesn't attack it. |
| Seems to collect dirt but its part of the rubber texture. Is pricey but I received it as a shower gift :) |
Cred: 15 | | It didn't help my daughter through her teething days because it's too soft. Her teeth came in early and by the time she was 1 she had all of her teeth out. |
| BornFree Teether with Gum Massager - worked so well my daughter did not let this one go!!! |
Cred: 1403 | | DS loves his sophie and probably uses it more to sooth himself with then his pacifier. |
| Has a squeaker so it gets the dogs attention and it is a bit pricey but worth every penny! |
Cred: 296 | | Review by JuliaS on Nov. 14, 2010 | | My son has never been too big on teethers but when he does use one it's always Sophie! He loves to just carry her around too! |
Cred: 368 | | LOVE SOPHIE! She's our "go too" toy! If the baby is fussy give her sophie and normally she is all better. Worth the money for sure! |
Cred: 227 | | We love Sophie! My 16 month old daughter still plays with this and uses it as a teether. We will be buying another for my son soon. |
Cred: 321 | | What baby doesn't love to gnaw on Sophie!? This saved us from many fussy moments! |
| We're not crazy about the natural rubber smell, but some people seem to like it. |
Cred: 126 | | Light, so it doesn't weigh down your diaper bag. |
| I never really got the Sophie craze. I'd rather buy a few different things than one Sophie. My daughter didn't ever really take to it very much! | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 206 | | We love Sophie! My son started teething very early so she came in very handy! She is very well worth the price! |
Cred: 320 | | Just the best toy and teether. Well made, trusted product. Great for entertaining and when the teeth come in. We are a two sophie house! Great gift! |

Cred: 150 | | Oh, how both of my babies have loved Sophie! Her legs are perfect to put in baby's mouth & the rubber just feels good on those sore gums. She has been a lifesaver. |
Cred: 150 | | Great toy! Baby has been happily chewing and squeaking away since she got it as a gift. Love that it is natural and non-toxic. | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 20 | | This is definitely a must have in my opinion. My son loved to play with Sophie when we was smaller and now that he's teething it's one of the only things that soothes him. |
Cred: 21 | | Love the size and the fact that it is painted with the safe paint. |
| My son did not really like it as much as others it also is a little spendy. |
Cred: 23 | | Easy to hold and the soft material is great for teething babies! |
| The price, but she is well worth the money. |
Cred: 26 | | EVERYTHING!!! Best teether ever! Perfect for young teethers as it is super easy for tiny hands to hold. |
Cred: 9 | | My daughter loves Sophie so much, we had a giraffe themed first birthday party for her! |
| She is a little expensive. |
Cred: 5 | | Love love love this! My son was fascinated by her. He loved to chew on her little nubby horns and ears. The squeaker was a good attention grabber! She is soft and pliable. And apparently she tastes great...as my son always had her in his mouth. Sadly she was lost while shopping and none of the other chewies seem to be taking her place. I am so buy another! |
| As another has said before; my dogs LOVE the squeaker part and on more than one occasion I caught them stealing Sophie from the baby. But all is fair in love and war...the baby steals the dogs' toys too! |
| Sophie is in a class by herself! $20 seems steep but she is worth it! There are plenty of other toys on the Vulli site as well! www.sophiegiraffeusa.com | Ideal Age: 6-12 months
Cred: 9 | | I love that it is a safe toy for baby to chew. |
| I wish the squeaker was removable. DS likes to bite it hard enough to squeak in church!
It's pricey for what it is. |
Cred: 30 | | My dd loves squeaking it and bitting the ears. The dye is safe! |
| The coloring comes of due to my dd bitting. |
